Job summary

OPW in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Machine Operator-2 to run CNC mills and lathes to manufacture valve and regulator parts, reading blueprints and performing first article checks.

This on-site role requires 3–5+ years CNC experience, proficiency with Go/No-Go gauges and calipers, and a commitment to safety while supporting continuous improvement in a production environment. The schedule is Friday–Sunday, 7:00 am–7:00 pm with overtime as needed, and the ability to lift 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience running CNC machines (Tornos, Mori-Seiki, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and use Go/No-go gauges, calipers, micrometers.
• Knowledge of coolant systems, tool layouts and basic shop math.
• High school diploma or GED; machining/trade training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC/manual lathes and mills to produce valve parts.
• Inspect parts with gauging equipment and perform quality checks.
• Load bars, manage coolant flow and perform light deburring.
• Maintain safety and follow all production procedures.
