Job summary

Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and run CNC Lathe or Mill for new and existing parts. You will update setup sheets, schedule work cells, manage tooling, perform routine maintenance, and report production metrics, including downtime and scrap. Programming files will be uploaded/downloaded and posted to Syteline as required.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and teamwork with other departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience.
• HI-Ed Machinist course required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run a CNC Lathe or Mill for new or established parts.
• Update setup sheets and schedule within the work cell.
• Manage tooling and machine preventative maintenance.
• Report production downtime and efficiency; track scrap and job dispatch.
• Upload/download programs and post to Syteline as needed.
