Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and program CNC milling and turning machines, reading blueprints and maintaining quality. The role requires setup, tool offsets, and editing programs to meet process instructions.

You will document output in the ERP system and support continuous improvement with Engineering. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years’ CNC experience, with proficiency in G-code and metrology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience setting up and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines.
• Proficiency in setup, programming, operation and maintenance of CNC equipment.
• Understanding of tool steels and blueprint interpretation.
• Proficient in G-code programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC machines to produce precision metal parts from blueprints.
• Set up machines, tools, and offsets; edit programs as needed.
• Ensure part quality and process capability; document results in ERP.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with Engineering to improve processes.
• Train Operators on job-related procedures and safety.
