Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional equipment, interpret drawings, and perform precision inspections in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience with lathes, mills, and related machinery, strong math skills, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. Overtime and weekend work may be needed, with safety compliance and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
• Experience reading and understanding blueprint/mechanical drawings is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience operating lathes, mills, and similar equipment, preferably in precision manufacturing.
• Further mathematic skills are required in this role.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• In addition, you must have basic computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and drilling machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to manufacture precision components.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime and scrap; perform preventive maintenance and routine machine care.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
