Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machining programs. The role collaborates with engineering, production, and quality to ensure efficient processes, high-quality output, and safety adherence.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of CNC programming experience, proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and G-code, and strong reading of drawings and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CNC programming software, CAD/CAM systems, and G-code programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.
• Knowledge of milling, turning, drilling, and related manufacturing techniques.
• Experience troubleshooting machine and programming issues in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations using drawings and CAD models.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Select tooling, cutting parameters, and settings to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Verify machine setups and support first-piece inspections.
• Analyze and troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Modify CNC programs for process improvements and new products.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Test and validate CNC programs before production release.
• Maintain documentation of revisions, tooling, and process parameters.
• Support operator training and provide technical guidance on CNC machining.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
