Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of related machine shop experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and technical materials.
• Position also requires machine shop training in mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout and machining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to cut, shape and form metal stock and castings to exact sizes using drawings and CAD specifications.
• Determine dimensions and tolerances of job to be machined.
• Use machine tools ranging from lathes to milling machines; may operate CNC-controlled machines.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work.
