Job summary

Onward Technologies in St. Charles, IL is seeking a skilled Manual / CNC Machinist to perform setups, operate mills and lathes, and read engineering prints.

You will run Haas and Tree CNC machines, perform macro programming at the control, and maintain tolerances using precision measuring tools.

Excellent blueprint reading, mathematical skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are required; sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Two years minimum experience in a machine shop with setups and operation of mills, lathes, saws and drill presses.
• 4–5 years of CNC Vertical Mill experience.
• G&M programming and Fanuc Controls experience.
• Reading blueprints and performing layout with basic math.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setups and operations to produce parts from prints with tight tolerances.
• Read blueprints completely and perform layout and measurement with precision tools.
• Set up, run, and optimize NC/CNC machines and perform macro programming at the control.
• Operate Haas and Tree CNC mills and maintain tooling and machine maintenance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and communicate with next shift.
