Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems in the United States is seeking a CNC Machinist to program and operate mills and lathes, set up tooling, and maintain quality and safety standards across production runs. Experience with three- and four-jaw chucks, offsets, and tool offsets is valued, along with troubleshooting and reprogramming

Qualifications

  • CNC Certification is required.
  • CNC Programming is a plus.
  • Strong manufacturing background.
  • Conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of controls, instrumentation and tooling.
  • Attention to detail and good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Program mills and lathes, set tool registers, offsets and offsets.
  • Set up mills and lathes, install tooling and fixtures.
  • Load stock and verify settings by measuring first runs and samples.
  • Maintain specifications through drilling, turning, knurling and threading operations.
  • Ensure safety and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Document actions and keep records across shifts.
  • Pursue continuous learning and contribute to process improvements.
