Job summary

Onward Technologies in Illinois seeks a skilled CNC Mill Operator to safely run CNC mills and lathes, set up jobs, and verify tooling and programs against specs. This role requires Mazatrol and G-code programming experience, plus strong blueprint reading abilities.

You will also operate related equipment (overhead crane, forklift), participate in continuous improvement, and ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machining equipment.
• Experience programming machining centers with Mazatrol, G&M codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience with tooling setup and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes safely and efficiently.
• Program CNC mills and lathes using Mazatrol, G-code, and MasterCam.
• Set up jobs: fixtures, tooling, and verify programs for quality.
• Expedite priority jobs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Inspect parts to ensure tolerance and customer requirements.
• Maintain and store cutting and inspection tools and fixtures.
• Optimize machining processes for maximum efficiency.
• Move completed jobs to next operation; prepare for shipping.
• Notify leads of maintenance needs and consumables.
• Participate in QC/CI to drive efficiencies.
