Job summary

GAST Manufacturing, a unit of IDEX Corporation, seeks a machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and ensure precision parts produced to spec.

You will perform daily maintenance, measure parts with precision gauges, and support a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement as part of a team. This on-site role offers growth in milling, turning, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience operating CNC machines.
• Completion of apprenticeship or training program preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and set up sheets.

Responsibilities

• Plans machining in cell by studying work orders and blueprints to ensure quality production.
• Sets up and operates various machines as rotation occurs within a work cell.
• Translates instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Loads raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Sets machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
• Inspects and measures finished products and compares with requirements.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
