Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce machined parts in our Massachusetts facility. You will operate CNC machines, follow work instructions and drawings, and ensure quality and safety throughout the process.

You will change tooling, perform routine maintenance, hand finish, and document activities. The role emphasizes GMP/GDP practices, continuous improvement, and meeting productivity targets within a team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• UK GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling and/or make minor offsets and adjustments for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by working to OOQ standards and using measuring equipment; interpret inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Aim to achieve productivity targets and identify improvements.
• Record all activities on the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement activities and resolve manufacturing issues with supervisor or Team Leader.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
