Job summary

Oatey in Shakopee, MN is seeking a CNC Operator to fabricate metal components by operating CNC machines and manual equipment. You will read blueprints, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, and ensure tight tolerances on each piece.

Responsibilities include running multiple machines, performing milling/boring operations, and documenting work orders. Two-way communication and fast learning are valued in our safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proficient in part inspection, using calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and micrometers.
• Familiarity with CNC controllers and ISO9001/LEAN concepts.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
• Operate band saws, drill presses and other machining equipment.
• Perform milling, boring, grinding and lathe operations.
• Create products based on work orders and drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments to maintain tolerances.
• Complete reports and manage materials per work order.
