Job summary

Adecco Portugal is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Brattleboro, VT to hire a skilled CNC Operator. You will produce high-quality machined parts using CNC machines, perform inspections, and uphold quality and safety standards.

The role requires operating multiple CNC machines, loading materials, and maintaining tooling and offsets. Strong math, G&M codes knowledge, teamwork, and a mechanical aptitude are essential; prior CNC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of trigonometry, geometry and basic math.
• Familiar with G & M codes and CNC programming basics.
• Strong understanding of machining practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
• Previous CNC or machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
• Inspect personal work and team output for accuracy.
• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures per instructions.
• Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers and optical comparators.
• Adjust tooling and offsets as needed.
• Perform minor edits to CNC programs.
• Maintain precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and lubricants top-off.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper chip removal.
