Job summary

Victrex is seeking a Machinist – Parts – GPF in Bristol to produce precision machined components using CNC setups and CAM programming. The role requires hands-on operation of milling, drilling, water jet, and deburring processes, with collaboration across engineering and quality teams.

The successful candidate will plan, program, and inspect parts, interpreting drawings and tolerances, and document results in the MES/MRP system. High school diploma or technical training is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstratable experience with CNC setup and CAM programming.
• Experience with shop equipment including water jet, milling, drilling, and deburring.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers machining through work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Programs machinery, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs
• Performs all machine shop operations including setup, tools, fixtures and work pieces
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results in material requirements planning software
• Collaborates with engineering and quality staff to improve machining and inspection operations.
