Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our Production team. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers to manufacture high-quality components while upholding safety and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate has machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role requires reading blueprints and working with precision measurement tools in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical or vocational training in machining or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to use overhead cranes and jib-boom hoists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers.
• Perform rough and finish machining on ferrous/non-ferrous/alloy components.
• Read blueprints, work orders, setup sheets, and tooling instructions.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify conformance to specs.
• Run first-run trials and adjust machines as needed.
• Enter and edit offsets and program corrections at control consoles.
• Inspect parts and adjust for tool wear during runs.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
