Contract Industrial Tooling (C-I-T) in Richmond, Indiana is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes. You will interpret blueprints, program machines, load materials, monitor quality, and perform first article inspections to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

This role requires 2+ years in a machine shop, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine shop experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to manage several projects at one time.
• Able to work independently to complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, machining, tooling background.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and drawings.
• Program and set up mills and lathes, including tooling and offsets.
• Load materials and monitor operations for quality and safety.
• Perform first article inspections and adjust programs for part conformity.
• Document actions in production and quality logs and maintain equipment readiness.
