Job summary

Watteredge LLC in Avon Lake, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who sets up and operates CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. You will read blueprints, interpret tolerances, and program edits to G and M codes, while maintaining tight quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience with CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.
Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances and specifications.
Working knowledge of G- and M-Codes, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production documentation.
Work with X, Y, and Z axes, including 4th and 5th axis machining.
Change fixtures, tooling, inserts, and tooling offsets to ensure accurate setups.
Understand and make necessary edits to G & M Codes, speeds, and feeds.
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues.
Maintain part tolerances and ensure finished components meet quality specifications.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
