Job summary

Watteredge LLC in Avon Lake, OH is seeking a dependable CNC Vaski Operator for the second shift (3:00 PM-11:30 PM) with a 10% shift differential. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of machine operation experience, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC or manufacturing machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools.
• Basic shop math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Vaski equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
• Load and position materials for production.
• Select appropriate machine settings, tooling, and programs for each job.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tapes.
• Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and production issues.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
