Job summary

Enpro Inc. is seeking an operator to manufacture complex parts using CNC mills and lathes. You will assist with setup, run basic programs, and inspect parts to ensure precise feature measurements.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a proactive problem-solving approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Quality and Engineering, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of CNC milling/lathe/router machining experience.
• Ability to perform basic programming using CAD-CAM software preferred.
• Previous experience with machining processes and tool design.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and sketches.
• Basic/intermediate math skills (geometry, trigonometry).
• Basic knowledge of machining materials and processes.
• PTFE or plastics experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional, positive attitude with continuous improvement mindset.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic set-up and operation of limited-scope machines with supervision.
• Writes basic programs for CNC machines with supervision.
• Manufactures parts from drawings or blueprints.
• Performs tool recalibration.
• Sharpens and modifies cutting tools.
• Performs basic machine maintenance, lubrication, and recalibration.
• Inspects work using micrometers, calipers, etc., to measure complex features.
• Deburrs parts.
