Job summary

Vaupell is seeking a CNC Machinist Operator for the Milling process on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) at our Agawam, MA facility.

The role involves producing small to medium precision parts on CNC lathes, milling machines and Bridgeports, ensuring parts meet specifications and maintaining quality records. We seek candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with Makino, Haas and Robodrill machines, and the ability to read and follow English instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience.
• Experience on Makino, Haas, and Robodrills.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to read, speak and follow English instructions.
• Must wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Loads, operates, cleans and maintains CNC machines and other shop equipment as directed.
• Assures that parts are made to specification to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Verifies settings by measuring specifications on work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

Produce small to medium size precision machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathes, milling machines and bridgeports.

• Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
• Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment

Physical Requirements
