Job summary

Accelera is seeking a CNC machinist to operate lathe/mill equipment, perform precision measurements, and interpret blueprints. The role focuses on maximizing efficiency in the automated metal prep area and developing standards to reduce tool wear. Training other team members and researching process improvements are key duties.

Candidates should have 3 years of CNC experience, a high school diploma, strong measurement skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in CNC machining.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Measure and inspect finished products using calipers and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints and understand technical requirements.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email).
• Driven self-starter with a positive attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently or as a team.
• Able to stand, bend, or climb a short ladder.
• Able to lift/move 50 lbs.
• Able to work 40 hours with OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Machining, CNC Lathe and Mill.
• Metal Forming, Press Brake and Rolls.
• CNC Machine Programming.
• Coordinate each Machine Center within the Automated Metal Prep Area to maximize efficiency.
• Develop machine operation standards to optimize uptime and minimize tool wear.
• Train employees on CNC machinery for department growth.
• Research new tooling, techniques, fluids, and methods of improvement.
• Maintain tooling and fabrication programs.
• Machine maintenance.
• Address design issues and manufacturability concerns.
