Position Summary:

• Machine parts to print
• Operate and perform offsets on Mazaks CNC mills
• Familiar with GD&T and machine shop prints
• Inspect all parts for conformance to specifications
• Maintain cleanliness and order in work area
• Notify supervision of any problems or delays
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• CNC O.D. grinding experience and manual lathes/mills experience are a plus

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Start machines, change tooling, make basic offsets
• Use precision measuring tools, work from drawings or setup notes
• Setup a family of CNC machines and program with no assistance (e.g., CNC lathes, mills, grinders)
• Have basic knowledge of speeds and feeds
• Program machines in various departments
• Mazatrol programming
• Create fixtures and collaborate with engineering for documentation
• Knowledge of SAP

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years Mazak programming experience on controls such as T+, Fusion, MT PRO, M32, M+
• At least 2 years programming CNC grinders
• 3 years in a machine shop environment
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions
• Ability to identify issues and take corrective action
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused
• Motivated with a sense of urgency
• Ability to multitask
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word (preferred)

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses and steel/safety-toed boots required
• Other PPE as required

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing plant setting
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, odors, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals
