Job summary

Technique is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will operate, set up, and program HAAS CNC mills and lathes, waterjet, and wire EDM using Mastercam, FlowPath, FlowCut, and FlowXpert to support prototype production.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of machining experience with HAAS machines and Mastercam programming, strong problem-solving abilities, and a drive to master new equipment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Two or more years of related machining experience.
• HAAS CNC mill & lathe experience required.
• Mastercam 2D & 3D programming experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Technical expertise and computer proficiency.
• Ability to multi-task (e.g., running multiple machines simultaneously).
• Very active physical position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States (U.S. Citizenship, Work Visa, or H1B sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain personal tools.
• Identify materials and determine feeds & speeds.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Set up and operate machining centers.
• Measure, deburr, and inspect parts.
• Program manual equipment and tapping operations.
• Apply offsets and set up workholding.
• Program in Mastercam and manage tools.
• Produce tooling components.
• Operate FLOW Mach 500 Waterjet and inspect parts.
• Program waterjet software (FlowPath/FlowCut/FlowXpert).
• Perform 3D machining and advanced Mastercam programming.
• Operate HAAS CNC lathes and perform turning operations.
• Operate 4th and 5th axis equipment and verify programs.
• Operate and maintain Viper Bridge Mill and use Renishaw probe.
• Operate Mitsubishi Wire EDM and manage maintenance.
• Train employees and support department leadership.
