Technique is seeking a Weekend Shift CNC Machinist in Jackson, Michigan to operate, set up, and program HAAS CNC mills& lathe, Flow Waterjet, and Mitsubishi Wire EDM. Prototyping work uses Mastercam and FlowPath/FlowCut/FlowXpert. The role requires overtime flexibility and safe work practices in a fast paced shop.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of machining experience, HAAS experience, and Mastercam programming skills, with a drive to master new techniques and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Two or more years of machining experience required.
• HAAS CNC mill & lathe experience required.
• Mastercam 2D & 3D programming experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Technical proficiency and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain personal tooling.
• Identify materials and determine feeds & speeds.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Set up and operate machining centers.
• Measure, deburr, inspect parts and perform 1st piece inspections.
• Program manual equipment and tapping operations.
• Apply offsets and set up workholding.
• Program in Mastercam and manage tools for 2D/3D programming.
• Produce tooling components to specification.
• Operate FLOW Mach 500 Waterjet and program FlowPath/FlowCut/FlowXpert.
• Perform 3D machining and advanced Mastercam programming.
• Operate HAAS CNC lathes and 4th/5th axis equipment.
• Operate and maintain Viper Bridge Mill; use Renishaw probe.
• Operate Mitsubishi Wire EDM; manage preventative maintenance.
• Train employees and support department leadership.
