Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Machinist – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Promontory, UT team. This 100% onsite role offers a 4/10 schedule with Fridays off and focuses on high-precision CNC operations, including training teammates and maintaining equipment across a lean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include quality inspections, tooling readiness, and adherence to blueprints and GD&T.

Level 3 expands to more complex setups and longer experience requirements. U.S.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related education/experience.
• Minimum 2-year technical degree or certificate in machine shop technology.
• 2+ years’ experience on 3 Axis CNC machines; 4/5 Axis a plus.
• Proficiency in CAM programming with Mastercam preferred.
• Experience reading/interpreting production specifications and blueprints.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD clearance.

Aufgaben

• Perform in-process and final part inspections to ensure quality.
• Care and maintenance of CNC equipment and tooling readiness.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to lean practices.
• Provide training to others on CNC setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and coordinate with shift leads.
