Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Machinist - Level 2/3 to support the CXVS facility. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, inspect parts, and maintain tooling and processes. Training others on CNC setup may be required.

The role offers day shift on a 12-hour schedule, with overtime as needed, and a comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement plans. U.S. Citizenship is required for government-related positions.

Qualifications

• Sets up and operates lathes, mills, shapers, planers and grinders to tolerances.
• Interprets blueprints and specs; determines setup sequence and cuts needed.
• Reads production diagrams and technical specs; uses precision measuring tools.
• 2+ years CNC 3-5 axis machining experience; extensive manual setup experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and manual machines to produce high-value rocket motor casings.
• Perform in-process and final part inspections for quality.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, and workspace; provide training on CNC setup and operation.
