Job summary

Gage Bilt, Inc. in Michigan is seeking skilled machinists to operate CNC lathes in short-run production. The company emphasizes a family-run culture and a history since 1956, with a focus on precision and dedication to quality.

Ideal candidates will interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and collaborate with tooling and maintenance teams. Hours are 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday time as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of experience in CNC machining preferred.
• Proficient in operating CNC lathes and interpreting blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate CNC lathes.
• Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges to ensure accuracy.
• Accurately interpret blueprints and process drawings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of machining and technology.
• Assist with tooling, programming and setup.
• Work overtime (50-55 hours weekly as needed).
• Experience in machine maintenance is a plus.
• Maintain a positive, learning-oriented attitude.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and management.
• Offer suggestions for continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC Lathes. Short run production.

Type: Full-Time

Hours: 6:00AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. (2) Saturdays per month (5 hours)
