Job summary

Gage Bilt, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a skilled machinist to join our family-run shop. The ideal candidate will operate CNC lathes, read blueprints, and use calipers, micrometers and bore gauges to verify precision.

Experience with machining processes and a proactive attitude are valued. This full-time role offers 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with two Saturdays per month, plus benefits such as medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machining preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in operating CNC lathes and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate CNC lathes.
• Use calipers, micrometers and bore gauges to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret blueprints and process drawings accurately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of machining and technology.
• Assist with tooling, programming and setup.
• Work overtime (50-55 hours weekly as needed).
• Experience in machine maintenance is a plus.

Type: Full-Time

Hours: 6:00AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. (2) Saturdays per month (5 hours)
