Job summary

Volt is hiring multiple Machinists in Tempe, AZ for full-time and part-time weekend roles in a clean, air-conditioned shop. You will set up CNC equipment and supervise several machines on large mill and lathe jobs, aiming for high-quality outputs and strict production standards.

Ideal candidates have CNC setup experience and familiarity with horizontal mills, lathes, and CMM programming (PC-DMIS). Training is available for students in machining/technical programs.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine setup experience.
• Experience with horizontal mills, lathes, and large format machining.
• Familiarity with CMM programming or PC-DMIS (highly beneficial).
• Strong multitasking ability and comfort overseeing multiple machines.
• We will also consider candidates with no prior experience who are currently enrolled in a machining or technical program.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-ups on various CNC equipment.
• Operate and oversee multiple machines throughout the shift in a fast-paced environment.
• Work primarily on large mill and lathe projects, typically involving 50 parts or fewer per job.
• Utilize and maintain machines such as Bridgeport, DMG MORI, and 3-Axis Mills.
• Support operations involving horizontal mills and lathes.
• Manage palletized machine systems, including restocking pallets as needed.
• Ensure high-quality output and adherence to production standards.
