Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Waverly, MS to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing operation. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines, read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and ensure parts meet demanding tolerances on large, complex components.

The role emphasizes independent work from drawings, machine adjustments, and self-inspection with precision tools. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to resolve machining challenges, perform

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to independently read and work from technical drawings/blueprints.
Strong understanding of GD&T and tight tolerances.
Experience with precision measuring equipment and troubleshooting machining/setup issues.
Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components.
Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications; ensure conformance to tolerances.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and offsets; troubleshoot setup issues.
Inspect finished and in-process parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve machining challenges.
