Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate large-bed and robotic CNC milling machines for aerospace and defense components. You will read drawings, interpret CAD/CAM data, and maintain high-precision tolerances.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform first-article inspections with calipers and micrometers, and work with engineering and quality teams to optimize programs and processes. Safety and quality are paramount.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a CNC machining program, trade school, or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Certifications such as NIMS or Haas Automation are a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain large-bed and robotic CNC milling machines to manufacture aerospace and defense components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files for accurate machining.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, setup problems, and production inefficiencies to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve machining challenges.
  • Assist with developing and optimizing CNC programs (G-code or CAM software).
  • Adhere to aerospace manufacturing standards and maintain a safe, clean environment.
