Job summary

Orano Group in Kernersville, NC seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to support precision machining in a nuclear fabrication facility. The role emphasizes producing quality parts, maintaining safety, and working with conventional and CNC machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Broad knowledge of conventional and CNC machine tool operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and blueprints.
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality machined components and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and operate CNC machining equipment to produce quality parts.
• Assist in developing machining procedures, sequences, tools and fixtures.
• Produce complex conventional and CNC machined components to tight tolerances.
• Inspect work and train lower classification machinists as directed.
• Maintain records, logs and documentation; ensure safety compliance.
• Identify operations problems and propose objective solutions.
• Assist engineering with methods, tooling and equipment needs.
• Contribute to scheduling and resource allocation planning.
• Assist with training and operation of key equipment.
• Promote a safe and healthy workplace and comply with health rules.
