Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CNC Machinist Lead with aerospace experience to supervise precision machining operations in Pasadena. You will interpret travelers, select tooling, and set up both CNC and conventional mills and lathes to produce close-tolerance parts for high-performance aerospace applications.

Ideal candidates have strong blueprints reading skills, experience with exotic materials, and a proven track record in continuous improvement and team leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an aerospace machine shop leading teams.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Skilled in CNC setup and operation; experience with conventional machining.
• Knowledge of exotic materials and working to tight tolerances.
• Strong math, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Experience with continuous improvement and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Interpret job travelers and select tooling and machine setups for each project.
• Operate CNC mills and lathes, as well as conventional mills and lathes.
• Machining close-tolerance parts: ±0.001" and ±0.0005".
• Prepare raw metal, perform sanding and deburring, manage inventory.
• Use precision tools: calipers, micrometers, angle grinders.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain health and safety standards in a fast-paced aerospace shop.

Salary: $35 - $45 per hour

What You'll Do
