Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CNC Machinist in the United States, California, El Cajon, to join our precision manufacturing team. The role focuses on set-up and operation of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills, executing tight-tolerance work for aerospace and defense projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of CNC experience, strong setup and troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with Fanuc controls, GD&T, and precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Proficient in setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC mills and Fanuc controls.
• Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience with precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Aerospace/defense or high-precision manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Read drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Select tooling, perform offsets, and optimize processes.
• Conduct first article and in-process inspections.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to reduce scrap.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Details

• Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience operating multi-axis CNC mills.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing experience preferred.
