Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Machinist – Level 2 to support high-value rocket motor component manufacture. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, inspect parts, and ensure quality while maintaining tooling and safety in a 12-hour rotating weekday shift.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years CNC machining (3-5 axis), manual machine experience, GD&T expertise, and strong blueprint reading skills. Training will be provided to others in CNC setups and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC 3-5 axis machining experience.
• Extensive experience running manual machines and performing set-ups.
• Fanuc Controller experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, diagrams and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to make metal parts to exact tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine operation sequence and tooling.
• Maintain tooling, calibration and cleanliness; train others in CNC setup and operation.
