Job summary

IMI plc in Rockford, IL is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate CNC and conventional work centers to produce diverse components used in pneumatic cylinder manufacturing. The role follows established procedures from blueprints and work orders in our RSS cell on first shift.

We require 1 year of CNC machining experience (or 4 years of manual machining), blueprint literacy, and strong tool/measurement skills. Pay ranges from $22 to $24 per hour with OT as needed onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CNC machining experience and/or 4 years manual machining experience.
• Proficient in the use of cutting tools and measuring instruments.
• Read and understand blueprint drawings.
• Able to troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and conventional work centers to produce standard and custom parts.
• Install and adjust tooling in work centers.
• Load programs into CNC work centers and run initial trials.
• Inspect parts for dimensions and surface finish.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjust tooling as needed.
• Maintain documentation and prepare required paperwork.
• Assist and train lower level machine positions when required.
