Job summary

IMI Norgren in Rockford, IL is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate both CNC and conventional work centers to produce a variety of standard and custom parts for pneumatic cylinder manufacturing. You will follow blueprints, work orders and programs in a fast-paced RSS cell.

This onsite role requires accuracy, the ability to read drawings, load programs, adjust tooling, and perform turning, drilling and tapping operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience and/or 4 years manual machining experience.
• Proficient in cutting tools and measuring instruments.
• Read and understand blueprint drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and conventional work centers to produce components.
• Install and adjust tooling in work centers.
• Load CNC programs and set up machines.
• Machine turning, drilling and tapping operations of average complexity.
• Monitor cycles and inspect parts for dimensions.
• Troubleshoot basic machining issues and modify tools.
• Prepare paperwork and maintain safety and maintenance.
• Provide training to lower level operators.
