Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a CNC Machinist 1 to operate CNC lathe equipment, ensure parts meet dimensional specifications, and perform own machining, cleaning, and inspection. You will report to the Manufacturing Specialist and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include tool wear monitoring, dimensional adjustments, visual and microscope inspections, deburring, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School diploma is required.
• 1+ years CNC machine operator experience.
• Must monitor tool wear and make dimensional adjustments (offsets).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring instruments Calipers and Micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe to produce parts that meet dimensional specifications.
• Conduct random inspection of parts, including microscope-based checks for conformance.
• Deburr and clean parts.
• Accurately complete quality control documentation and inspection sheets.
• Identify and communicate problems to the supervisor; support a safe, efficient workplace.
