Job summary

TECOMET in Massachusetts seeks an entry-level CNC Machinist I to operate CNC machines, follow drawings, and maintain quality. You will perform routine maintenance, document activities, and contribute to continuous improvement in a GMP/GDP environment.

The role requires attention to detail, math skills, and a collaborative attitude to meet production targets and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D).
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality is achieved by working to operator owned quality (OOQ) standards and requirements including using a range of measuring equipment and interpreting inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and document practices including completion of job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues and minimize risks.
• Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify and support manufacturing issues with the Team Leader/Supervisor as required.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area.
