Job summary

Tecomet in Eaton Rapids, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce precision parts by operating CNC machines and reading engineering drawings. You will follow work instructions, perform routine maintenance, and document results in the job tracking system.

Responsibilities include changing dull tooling, making minor offsets, performing hand finishing, and ensuring quality through OOQ and GMP/GDP practices while maintaining 5S standards and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred or required.
• Associate degree or certificate in tooling and machining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and adjust offsets as needed.
• Maintain OOQ quality and use measurement equipment to interpret inspection reports.
• Perform routine PMs and housekeeping to 5S standards.
• Carry out hand finishing and document activities in the job tracking system.
• Adhere to GMP/GDP and complete routers/cards.
• Identify safety issues and follow safe work practices.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity targets.
