Job summary

Velosity Brooklyn Park is seeking a CNC Machinist I to set up and operate CNC equipment per work instructions, ensuring quality per the quality manual. This on-site role is based in Brooklyn Park, MN, with a Mon-Thu shift 5:00pm–3:30am.

The compensation includes a typical pay range of $22.00–$29.00 per hour and a 5% quarterly bonus target, plus a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), PTO and holidays).

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Certificate in Machine Trades or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum six months experience in a medical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC vertical machining centers (3,4,5 axis).
• Experience with CNC Swiss machining preferred.
• Blue print reading.
• Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English and do shop Math.
• Familiarity with MasterCam X (backplot programs, measure dimensions).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines 3, 4, and 5 axis per manufacturer instructions and SOPs to meet specs.
• Maintain accurate records of parts and scrap in ERP and shift-transfer documentation.
• Document shift activities and communicate needs across shifts.
• Set up CNC equipment on basic jobs with some supervision.
• Understand G and M codes and basic machining practices.
• Verify products meet quality specs using visual inspection, microscopes, and dimensional checks.
