Job summary

Prince Industries in Carol Stream, IL seeks a CNC Machinist I to operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders. You will machine metal and nonmetal parts by following drawings and specifications, and you will help set up tooling and fixtures.

Ideal candidates read GD&T, interpret blueprints, and perform precision measurements with micrometers and gauges. OT availability and a strong work ethic are required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in CNC-related field.
• Ability to read GD&T blueprints to specification.
• Ability to quickly use control panel for offsets/edits on 2-3 FMS machines.
• Tolerance: +/- 0.0005" diameter, +/- 0.001" length.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of work piece to specifications using micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Secure tooling and place work piece in holding devices and fixtures.
• Observe daily preventative machine maintenance and keep machines clean.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor to meet production needs.
