Aerotek is hiring a CNC Machinist in Thornton, CO to set up, operate and adjust CNC mills and lathes, producing high-precision components for advanced projects. You will interpret blueprints, verify first articles, inspect processes, and maintain documentation in a safety-focused, collaborative shop.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience operating CNC machines.
• Experience setting up mills/lathes with conversational programming.
• Blueprint reading to interpret machining requirements.
• Skilled in selecting tooling, fixtures, and parameters.
• Comfort using calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Detail-oriented with accurate part production.

Responsibilities

• CNC Machine Setup: set up and run CNC mills/lathes using conversational programming to produce highquality parts.
• Program Adjustments: edit programs and make realtime adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Blueprint Interpretation: read drawings to determine tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• FirstArticle Verification: inspect initial parts and adjust setups for conformity.
• InProcess Inspections: measure workpieces with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Documentation: complete production, quality, and compliance records accurately.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform and record maintenance on CNC machines.
• Deburring: deburr machined parts to meet quality standards.
• Shipping Support: assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving as needed.
