Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company, a global leader in vacuum technology and advanced manufacturing, is seeking a CNC Machinist I in Jefferson Hills, PA.

You will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components in a high-mix, low-volume environment, following detailed drawings and GD&T requirements. With 2+ years of machining experience, you will read blueprints, edit G-code, and inspect parts with precision tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related machine shop experience or completed Journeyman machining program
• High school diploma or GED
• Advanced trigonometry and geometry machinist mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining technique
• Competent at reading and understanding measuring devices, blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components
• Read, interpret, and edit G-code programs
• Perform machining operations while maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and basic GD&T requirements
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with machinists, engineers, and project managers
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment
• Follow company safety standards, policies, and manufacturing best practices
• Document production information, process adjustments, and inspection results
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned

Job Details:

• Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd (Monday - Friday)
• Type of Employment: Full-time

• Reports to: CNC Supervisor

Key Job Elements:
