Job summary
DRT Holdings, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our Dayton, OH area. You will set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers, read blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and ensure tight tolerances in a high-mix environment.
You’ll work with qualified teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety. Weekly pay, overtime, and day-one benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of CNC machining experience
- Experience setting up and operating Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience with fixtures, tooling, and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain high quality standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs)
- Perform tooling changes, fixture setups, work offset adjustments, and first-piece inspections
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
- Machine precision components to tight tolerances and quality requirements
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
- Adjust tooling and machine offsets to maintain quality and productivity
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
- Monitor tool life and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Complete production and inspection documentation accurately
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to achieve performance goals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
