Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to run CNC milling and turning operations on Aluminum, Steel, Brass and Copper parts. You will review blueprints, set up tooling, write or verify simple programs, and inspect parts with precision instruments to ensure tight tolerances.

The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, and it operates on a Monday–Thursday schedule, 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience operating CNC equipment and reading blueprints.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• Familiarity with precision inspection tools and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and/or written specifications for a job.
• Write programs and apply machine tool math.
• Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of machine.
• Set-up controls and make the cuts to make machined parts.
• Ensure machine is working properly through preventative maintenance and proper feeding, cutting, cooling and lubricating.
• Utilize specialized inspection tools to check tolerances.
• Understand and maintain QC procedures.
• Work within a Lean environment and keep work area clean and safe.
• Follow ISO procedures and comply with company rules and safety regulations.
• Execute tasks assigned by Team Leader.
