Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing in Maine seeks a CNC Machine Operator to produce precision metal parts from Aluminum, Steel, Brass, and Copper using CNC and conventional machines. You will review blueprints, write programs, set up controls, monitor feeds and speeds, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

On the shop floor you will inspect parts with precision tools, follow ISO procedures and Lean practices, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications

• CNC machine experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; standing and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specifications for a job.
• Write programs and apply machine tool math.
• Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of machine.
• Set-up controls and make the cuts to make machined parts.
• Ensure machine is working properly through preventative maintenance and proper feeding, cooling, and lubrication.
• Utilize inspection tools to check tolerances and QC procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow ISO procedures.
• Follow all company rules and tasks assigned by Team Leader.
