Job summary

Master Machine, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC machinist in Chattanooga, TN. The role requires setting up and operating CNC machines to produce close tolerance components and rework parts as needed.

You will interpret drawings, select appropriate tooling, and verify tolerances with precision instruments. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience with CNC equipment, including large bridge mills, and familiarity with Mazak or FANUC controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years setting up and operating CNC machine tools to manufacture and recondition close tolerance parts.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and sketches for precision manufacturing.
• Experience running large CNC bridge mills is a plus.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and applying basic geometry.

Job description

Compensation Depending on Skills and Experience

4/10 Work Week

Minimum of 5 years setting up and operating CNC machine tools, including machining centers, turning centers, and bridge mills, without assistance, to manufacture and recondition close tolerance component parts to customer and industry standards.

Experience running large CNC bridge mills and Mazak/FANUC controls is a plus. Interprets mechanical drawings and sketches and performs precision metal cutting, grinding, shaping and fitting. Measures components, parts, and raw materials with precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools. Able to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts that apply to machining.

The employee must meet the physical demands of the job including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent climbing and balancing on large equipment; frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching; frequent lifting or moving of up to 25lbs.; occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. Works under limited supervision.
