Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing operates on the manufacturing floor, using CNC machines to produce precision metal parts from aluminum, steel, brass and copper. Operators read blueprints and specifications, write programs, and monitor feed rates and speeds to set up and run machines.

The role includes inspection for tolerances and adherence to ISO procedures, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The position is non-exempt and based in the Production department, requiring the ability to stand for long

Qualifications

• Requires reading blueprints or written specifications.
• Requires ability to write programs and apply machine tool math.
• Must understand and monitor feed rate and spindle speed.
• Ability to set up controls and perform cuts to produce parts.
• Ensure machine is functioning with proper maintenance and proper feeding, cutting, cooling, and lubrication.
• Use inspection tools to check tolerances and maintain QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Write programs and apply machine tool math.
• Understand and monitor feed rate and speed of machine.
• Set up controls and make cuts to produce machined parts.
• Ensure machine operates with proper maintenance and correct feeding, cutting, cooling and lubrication.
• Utilize inspection tools to check tolerances and QC procedures.
• Work in a Lean Manufacturing environment and follow ISO procedures.
• Follow tasks assigned by Team Leader and comply with company rules.
• Support additional tasks to meet business needs.
