Job summary

Brown Machine Group in Fremont, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-5 axis milling and lathe machines. You will read blueprints, run CAM programs, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances for high-volume tooling systems.

The role requires 3+ years of high-tech machining, proficiency with CNC G-Code (Fanuc/Siemens), and the ability to work off-shift with available shift premiums. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; certificate programs preferred in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of high-tech machining experience with feeds, speeds, tooling, and sequencing on mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings with CAM environment familiarity.
• Proficiency in reading CNC G-Code; Fanuc/Siemens controls preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, adjust, and operate CNC machine tools.
• Machine complex parts to tight tolerances and high finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and multi-view drawings.
• Review programs offline to identify issues and troubleshoot.
• Perform metrology inspections and ensure tooling accuracy.
• Monitor multiple machines for maximum utilization.
• Collaborate with minimal supervision and solve problems.
• Help achieve production targets related to scrap, rework, and downtime.
